劇講述了歷經(jīng)四代的韓國移民家庭的故事。故事始于一段禁忌的愛戀，并擴(kuò)展為跨越韓國、日本與美國三地，關(guān)于希望與夢想、和平、愛與失落、勝利與算計的史詩傳奇?！ 某r到日本，四代移民家庭的恩怨糾葛，大時代的巨光照在每一個小人物的身上，都留下了一道崎嶇的陰影，生生地拖著他們的軀體前行。從1920年日本殖民時期的韓國漁村，到日本大阪，經(jīng)歷了二戰(zhàn)和朝鮮戰(zhàn)爭，一直到90年代末日本泡沫經(jīng)濟(jì)時代的橫濱和東京乃至紐約。在這樣復(fù)雜的歷史背景下，全劇著重描繪了幾代人在家族與故鄉(xiāng)、融入與歸屬、金錢與信仰等一系列問題上的關(guān)系與矛盾。
